There is power in nature, life and mystery. In the world of fairy tales, nature is populated by fairy creatures with a symbiotic relationship with their natural environment. In my paintings, I seek to depict some part of nature’s, especially the forest’s, “soul”, and I use natural environments with fairy tale motifs to help me. With Stone Trolls, the Tree Spirits, The Elves, a human narrative is implied which, for me, functions as a way to sense the qualities of nature. Through my artistry, the expressions have varied: Temporary installations in nature, sculptural painting and parafictional stories with performance. The common thread since the start of art school until today is that my art has been about nature.

Since 2017 I have mainly focused on the practice of oil painting.
